The Mercyhurst Prep Lakers (Erie, PA) basketball were winner over the visiting Desert Mountain Wolves (Scottsdale, AZ), 44-35 in Monday's non-league bout.

The Lakers now possess a 2-3 record. They play next when they host Union City for a District 10 Region 3 bout on Saturday, January 4. Mercyhurst Prep will play a Bears team coming off a 56-41 non-league win over Titusville (Titusville, PA). The Bears record now stands at 3-6.
