Texas High School Basketball - Flower Mound holds off Melissa
December 30, 2024: Melissa, TX 75454 In Monday's non-league contest, the visiting Flower Mound Jaguars basketball team scored a close 47-41 triumph over the Melissa Cardinals.
The Jaguars (21-1) will now prepare for their contest against Pearce (Richardson, TX). The Mustangs go into the non-league contest with a 12-9 record. In their last contest, Pearce was tipped by Richardson (Richardson, TX), 54-38, in a league contest.
In their next game, the Cardinals confront the Lovejoy Leopards (Lucas, TX) in a 5A Region II District 9 contest, on Friday, January 3. Melissa will attempt to better on its 16-6 season record. The Leopards go into the contest with a 16-7 record after their 53-45 non-league loss to Tomball (Tomball, TX).
