Utah High School Basketball - Lehi holds off Springville
December 30, 2024: Lehi, UT 84043 In Monday's non-league contest, the host Lehi Pioneers basketball team scored a close 42-36 triumph over the Springville Red Devils.
The Pioneers (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against Payson (Payson, UT). The Lions go into the non-league contest with a 9-1 record. In their last contest, Payson nipped Brighton (Salt Lake City, UT), 47-44, in a non-league contest.
In their next game, the Red Devils confront the Corner Canyon Chargers (Draper, UT) in a non-league contest, on Friday, January 3. Springville will attempt to better on its 7-4 season record. The Lehi girls team led this game at the end if every quarter. The Pioneers had a 9-point lead going into the fourth quarter. Springville made a little run, but Lehi held on for a 6-point victory. All eight Lehi girls that played in the game scored points and no one reached double figures. Brynlee Cook led the pioneers with 9 points. Kelcee Rasmussen led the Pioneers in rebounds with 12 and Kenzie Jepson dished out 4 assists.
