California High School Basketball - Lynwood holds off Portola

The Lynwood Knights basketball team scored 51 points and limited the visiting Portola Bulldogs to 48 in the Knights non-league triumph on Monday.

The Knights now possess a 5-9 record. They play next when they host Mayfair for a Gateway game on Friday, January 3. Lynwood will confront a Monsoons team coming off a 60-14 non-league loss to Bonita (La Verne, CA). The Monsoons record now stands at 3-7.

With the loss, Portola falls to 7-11 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Rosary Academy (Fullerton, CA) to confront the Royals in a Pacific Coast game on Tuesday, January 7. The Royals go into the game with a record of 10-5. Rosary Academy lost 68-52 in their recent non-league game against Atwater (Atwater, CA)
