The crowd at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Village Tech Viper Squid (Duncanville, TX) and the host Coronado Mustangs (Lubbock, TX), observed Village Tech's basketball team edge Coronado by a score of 60-55.

The Viper Squid (9-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Denton (Denton, TX). The Broncos come into the non-league challenge with a 8-8 record. In their last challenge, Denton edged Roosevelt (Dallas, TX), 58-54, in a non-league challenge.
