In Thursday's non-league contest, the host DeSoto County Bulldogs basketball team scored a close 45-39 win over the Sarasota Christian Blazers.

The Bulldogs (4-4) will now prepare for their contest against Avon Park (Avon Park, FL). The Red Devils come into the non-league contest with a 3-1 record. In their last contest, Avon Park edged Frostproof (Frostproof, FL), 64-54, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Blazers battle the Out-of-Door Academy Thunder (Sarasota, FL) in a non-league contest, on Friday, December 6. Sarasota Christian will attempt to better on its 4-3 season record.
