Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Cox Mill Chargers (Concord, NC), 55-35 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Weddington advances its record to 5-1 on the year. The Warriors travel to Butler (Matthews, NC) to face the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Tuesday, December 10. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 5-0. Butler won 65-28 in their recent non-league match against Indian Land (Fort Mill, SC)

The Chargers now own a 2-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Indian Land for a non-league match on Wednesday, December 11.
