Union Spartans (Rose Hill, NC) backers were in high spirits Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Midway Raiders (Dunn, NC), 49-46 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Union upgrades its record to 3-2 on the season. The Spartans travel to West Columbus (Cerro Gordo, NC) to play the Vikings in a non-league bout on Tuesday, December 13. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 0-3.

Next up, the Raiders play the Hobbton Wildcats (Newton Grove, NC) in a non-league bout, on Friday, December 9. Midway will attempt to upgrade on its 2-2 season record. The Wildcats go into the bout with a 0-3 record after their 44-31 non-league loss to Clinton (Clinton, NC).
