Virginia Academy Patriots (Ashburn, VA) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Virginia Episcopal School Bishops (Lynchburg, VA), 86-72 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Virginia Academy advances its record to 5-4 on the year. The Patriots travel to Hargrave Military Academy (Chatham, VA) to face the Tigers in a Virginia Independent match on Saturday, December 7. The Tigers enter the match with a record of 9-3. Hargrave Military Academy won 64-52 in their recent non-league match against Word of God Christian Academy National (Raleigh, NC)

The Bishops now own a 2-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Nansemond-Suffolk Academy for a non-league match on Saturday, December 7. Virginia Episcopal School will face a Saints squad coming off a 86-77 non-league loss to Veritas Collegiate Academy (Chesapeake, VA). The Saints record now stands at 1-1.
