In Friday's non-league test, the American Eagles (Fremont, CA) basketball squad defeated the visiting Carlmont Scots (Belmont, CA), by a final score of 56-43.

Next, the Eagles clash with the Castilleja Gators (Palo Alto, CA) in a non-league test, on Saturday, December 7. American will attempt to upgrade on its 2-0 season record. The Gators come into the test with a 3-0 record after their 39-31 non-league win over Lynbrook (San Jose, CA).

The Scots (1-2) will now prepare for their test against Branham (San Jose, CA). The Bruins come into the non-league test with a 2-1 record. In their last test, Branham overcame Woodland Christian (Woodland, CA), 37-35, in a non-league test.
