The Madisonville Mustangs basketball team scored 51 points and restricted the host Covenant Christian Cougars to 42 in the Mustangs non-league victory on Thursday.

The Mustangs now sport a 10-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Mexia for a non-league contest on Friday, December 8. Madisonville will battle a Black Cats team coming off a 55-27 non-league loss to Neches (Neches, TX). The Black Cats record now stands at 5-6.

The Cougars (6-7) will now prepare for their contest against Breckenridge (Breckenridge, TX). The Buckaroos come into the non-league contest with a 3-10 record. In their last contest, Breckenridge dropped by Connally (Waco, TX), 51-26, in a non-league contest.
