Texas High School Basketball - South San Antonio nips Gregory-Portland
December 8, 2023: Portland, TX 78374 South San Antonio Bobcats (San Antonio, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad hold off the host Gregory-Portland Wildcats (Portland, TX), 51-48 in a non-league bout.
With the victory, South San Antonio upgrades its record to 6-7 on the campaign. The Bobcats travel to Bishop (Bishop, TX) to play the Badgers in a non-league bout on Friday, December 8. The Badgers come into the bout with a record of 9-4. Bishop won 70-55 in their recent non-league bout against Martin (Laredo, TX)
Next up, the Wildcats play the Carroll Tigers (Corpus Christi, TX) in a 5A Region IV District 29 bout, on Tuesday, December 12. Gregory-Portland will attempt to upgrade on its 7-2 season record. The Tigers come into the bout with a 9-3 record after their 70-59 non-league loss to Ray (Corpus Christi, TX).
