Fans at Friday's non-league challenge between the Jack Britt Buccaneers (Fayetteville, NC) and the visiting Scotland Fighting Scots (Laurinburg, NC), saw Jack Britt's basketball squad hold off Scotland by a tally of 42-36.

With the victory, Jack Britt improves its record to 3-4 on the campaign. The Buccaneers host Douglas Byrd (Fayetteville, NC) to confront the Eagles in a 3A/4A United 8 challenge on Friday, December 15. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 0-6.

Next up, the Fighting Scots confront the Marlboro County Bulldogs (Bennettsville, SC) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, December 9. Scotland will attempt to improve on its 3-2 season record. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a 4-1 record after their 65-31 non-league win over Cheraw (Cheraw, SC).
