Fort Bend Kempner Cougars (Sugar Land, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host La Marque Cougars (La Marque, TX), 51-41 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Fort Bend Kempner upgrades its record to 7-5 on the season. The Cougars travel to Victoria East (Victoria, TX) to clash with the Titans in a non-league bout on Saturday, December 10. The Titans go into the bout with a record of 8-4. Victoria East won 76-52 in their recent non-league bout against Danbury (Danbury, TX)

Next up, the Cougars clash with the Angleton Christian Warriors (Angleton, TX) in a non-league bout, on Saturday, December 10. La Marque will attempt to upgrade on its 3-9 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 11-4 record after their 44-40 non-league loss to Victoria East (Victoria, TX).
