Utah High School Basketball - Lehi ripped by DeSoto
December 9, 2022: Lehi, UT 84043 In Friday's non-league match, the visiting DeSoto Eagles basketball team scored a decisive 67-14 triumph over the Lehi Pioneers.
In their next game, the Eagles meet the Fremont Silverwolves (Plain City, UT) in a non-league match, on Saturday, December 10. DeSoto will attempt to move on its 8-2 season record. The Silverwolves enter the match with a 1-2 record after their 68-36 non-league loss to Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, CA).
With the defeat, Lehi moves to 3-1 on the year. The Pioneers host Centennial (Las Vegas, NV) to meet the Bulldogs in a non-league match on Saturday, December 10. The Bulldogs enter the match with a record of 0-1. Centennial lost 66-46 in their recent non-league match against Lone Peak (Highland, UT)
First Quarter
Most of us knew that this game would not turn out to well for the Pioneers. Desota is one of the best teams in the country and they looked the part in this contest. The score at the end of the first quarter is Desota 19 and Lehi 3.
Second Quarter
The Desota full court press prevented Lehi from getting any good looks at the basket. The score at the end of the first half in Desoto 36 and Lehi 10.
Third Quarter
Desoto never let up on the full court pressure. The score at the end of the first quarter is 56 to 12 in favor of Desoto.
Fourth Quarter
The Lehi girls had a great experience playing a team at this level that I am sure they will remember for a long time. The Final Score is Desoto 67 and Lehi 14.
