Virginia High School Basketball - Kenston Forest trounced by New Covenant
February 1, 2024: Lynchburg, VA 24501 In Thursday's non-league match, the host New Covenant Gryphons basketball team scored a decisive 54-21 triumph over the Kenston Forest Kavaliers.
In their next game, the Gryphons meet the Southwest Virginia Academy Conquerors (Roanoke, VA) in a non-league match, on Friday, February 2. New Covenant will attempt to move on its 13-6 season record. The Conquerors enter the match with a 6-7 record after their 51-36 non-league loss to Roanoke Catholic (Roanoke, VA).
With the defeat, Kenston Forest moves to 6-7 on the year. The Kavaliers host Brunswick Academy (Lawrenceville, VA) to meet the Vikings in a Virginia Colonial match on Tuesday, February 6. The Vikings enter the match with a record of 16-4. Brunswick Academy won 59-28 in their recent league match against Amelia Academy (Amelia Court House, VA)
