In Saturday's league test, the Fayette County Tigers (Fayetteville, GA) basketball squad knocked off the host Sandy Creek Patriots (Tyrone, GA), by a score of 61-53.

Next, the Tigers encounter the Upson-Lee Knights (Thomaston, GA) in a AAA Region 2 test, on Monday, February 3. Fayette County will attempt to improve on its 16-4 season record. The Knights come into the test with a 7-11 record after their 53-42 non-league loss to Lamar County (Barnesville, GA).

The Patriots (17-5) will now prepare for their test against St. Pius X Catholic (Atlanta, GA). The Golden Lions come into the non-league test with a 14-8 record. In their last test, St. Pius X Catholic beat Clarkston (Clarkston, GA), 65-18, in a league test.
