The crowd at Monday's league challenge between the Liberty Minutemen (Bedford, VA) and the visiting Amherst County Lancers (Amherst, VA), observed Liberty's basketball team overwhelm Amherst County by a score of 63-38.

The Minutemen (17-3) will now prepare for their challenge against Heritage (Lynchburg, VA). The Pioneers come into the Seminole challenge with a 6-13 record. In their last challenge, Heritage was routed by George Washington (Danville, VA), 41-28, in a non-league challenge.

In their next game, the Lancers encounter the Rustburg Red Devils (Rustburg, VA) in a Seminole challenge, on Thursday, February 13. Amherst County will attempt to improve on its 7-13 season record. The Red Devils come into the challenge with a 9-10 record after their 39-6 non-league win over Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA).
