February 10, 2025: Metropolis, IL 62960 Massac County Patriots (Metropolis, IL) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad triumph over the visiting Meridian Bobcats (Mounds, IL), 52-25 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Massac County upgrades its record to 11-16 on the year. The Patriots travel to Marion (Marion, IL) to face the Wildcats in a non-league match on Tuesday, February 11. The Wildcats enter the match with a record of 15-8. Marion lost 67-58 in their recent league match against Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IL)
The Bobcats now sport a 9-12 record. They put it on the line next when they host Harrisburg for a non-league match on Tuesday, February 11. Meridian will face a Bulldogs squad coming off a 66-38 league win over Herrin (Herrin, IL). The Bulldogs record now stands at 22-6.
