North Carolina High School Basketball - Independence overwhelms Rocky River
February 13, 2024: Charlotte, NC 28227 Fans at Tuesday's league challenge between the Independence Patriots (Charlotte, NC) and the visiting Rocky River Ravens (Mint Hill, NC), saw Independence's basketball squad wallop Rocky River by a tally of 87-62.
With the victory, Independence improves its record to 18-5 on the campaign. The Patriots travel to Butler (Matthews, NC) to confront the Bulldogs in a 4A Southwestern challenge on Friday, February 16. The Bulldogs come into the challenge with a record of 16-7. Butler won 66-54 in their recent non-league challenge against Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC)
Next up, the Ravens confront the Garinger Wildcats (Charlotte, NC) in a 4A Southwestern challenge, on Friday, February 16. Rocky River will attempt to improve on its 9-14 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 1-21 record after their 66-27 league loss to Providence (Charlotte, NC).
