Anson Bearcats (Wadesboro, NC) boosters left the game satisfied Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host North Stanly Comets (New London, NC), 78-68 in a non-league match.

With the victory, Anson upgrades its record to 15-9 on the year.

The Comets now sport a 19-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Gray Stone Day for a non-league match on Monday, February 17. North Stanly will face a Knights squad coming off a 66-23 league loss to South Stanly (Norwood, NC). The Knights record now stands at 3-16.
