Maryland High School Basketball - Huntingtown nips Northern

The crowd at Friday's league challenge between the Huntingtown Hurricanes (Huntingtown, MD) and the visiting Northern Patriots (Owings, MD), observed Huntingtown's basketball team edge Northern by a margin of 47-43.

The Hurricanes (15-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Lackey (Indian Head, MD). The Chargers come into the Southern Maryland challenge with a 1-16 record. In their last challenge, Lackey was tipped by Patuxent (Lusby, MD), 63-27, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Patriots battle the Allegany Campers (Cumberland, MD) in a non-league challenge, on Saturday, February 15. Northern will attempt to better on its 12-8 season record. The Campers come into the challenge with a 15-3 record after their 55-25 non-league win over Shalom Christian Academy (Chambersburg, PA).
