The Hondo Owls softball squad (Hondo, TX), was routed 19-1 in Friday's non-league contest with the visiting Veterans Memorial Patriots (San Antonio, TX)

With the triumph, Veterans Memorial improves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Patriots host Alamo Heights (San Antonio, TX) to face the Mules in a contest on Tuesday, February 18. The Mules enter the contest with a record of 1-4. Alamo Heights lost 13-1 in their recent non-league contest against Canyon (New Braunfels, TX)

The Owls now hold a 1-5 record. They play next when they host Southside for a non-league contest on Saturday, February 15. Hondo will face a Cardinals squad coming off a 11-3 non-league win over Carrizo Springs (Carrizo Springs, TX). The Cardinals record now stands at 5-0.
