Illinois High School Basketball - Mulberry Grove bests Gillespie
February 17, 2025: Gillespie, IL 62033 The Mulberry Grove Aces basketball team scored 71 points and limited the host Gillespie Miners to 55 in the Aces non-league triumph on Monday.
The Aces now possess a 13-17 record. They play next when they host Ramsey for a game on Friday, February 21. Mulberry Grove will confront a Rams team coming off a 86-52 league loss to Brownstown/St. Elmo (St. Elmo, IL). The Rams record now stands at 1-24.
With the loss, Gillespie falls to 5-20 on the campaign. The Miners host Southwestern (Piasa, IL) to confront the Piasa Birds in a South Central game on Tuesday, February 18. The Piasa Birds go into the game with a record of 16-12. Southwestern won 56-49 in their recent league game against Carlinville (Carlinville, IL)
