Texas High School Basketball - La Joya tops Economedes
February 2, 2024: La Joya, TX 78560 La Joya Coyotes (La Joya, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Economedes Jaguars (Edinburg, TX), 72-54 in a league bout.
With the victory, La Joya upgrades its record to 21-14 on the campaign. The Coyotes travel to Mission (Mission, TX) to play the Eagles in a 6A Region IV District 31 bout on Tuesday, February 6. The Eagles come into the bout with a record of 12-22. Mission won 52-35 in their recent league bout against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo (San Juan, TX)
Next up, the Jaguars play the Edinburg North Cougars (Edinburg, TX) in a 6A Region IV District 31 bout, on Tuesday, February 6. Economedes will attempt to upgrade on its 12-18 season record. The Cougars come into the bout with a 27-8 record after their 51-46 league win over Edinburg (Edinburg, TX).
