North Carolina High School Basketball - Palisades nipped by South Mecklenburg

The South Mecklenburg Sabres tipped the host Palisades Pumas basketball team by a final score of 52-49 in Friday's league game.

In their next game, the Sabres face the Marvin Ridge Mavericks (Waxhaw, NC) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, February 6. South Mecklenburg will attempt to move on its 18-3 season record. The Mavericks enter the game with a 14-7 record after their 45-30 league win over Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC).

With the defeat, Palisades moves to 12-9 on the year. The Pumas host Olympic (Charlotte, NC) to face the Trojans in a 4A South Meck game on Tuesday, February 6.
