The Weddington Warriors (Matthews, NC) basketball crushed the visiting Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC), 74-48 in Friday's league test.

The Warriors (19-1) will now prepare for their test against Sun Valley (Monroe, NC). The Spartans go into the 4A Southern Carolina test with a 7-13 record. In their last test, Sun Valley walloped Cuthbertson (Waxhaw, NC), 60-56, in a league test.
