In Friday's non-league bout, the Port Isabel Tarpons (Port Isabel, TX) baseball squad overwhelmed the visiting Pace Vikings (Brownsville, TX), by a tally of 12-4.

Next up, the Tarpons encounter the Rio Hondo Bobcats (Rio Hondo, TX) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, February 24. Port Isabel will attempt to upgrade on its 2-1 season record. The Bobcats enter the bout with a 1-4 record after their 7-6 non-league loss to St. Joseph Academy (Brownsville, TX).

The Vikings (1-4) will now prepare for their bout against Weslaco East (Weslaco, TX). The Wildcats come into the 5A Region IV District 32 contest with a 4-1 record. In their last contest, Weslaco East beat London (Corpus Christi, TX), 13-1, in a non-league contest.
