East Ascension Spartans (Gonzales, LA) fans left the game pleased Friday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Springfield Bulldogs (Springfield, LA), 9-1 in a non-league match.

With the triumph, East Ascension advances its record to 5-4 on the season. The Spartans host St. Martin's Episcopal (Metairie, LA) to battle the Saints in a non-league match on Saturday, February 22. The Saints come into the match with a record of 5-0. St. Martin's Episcopal won 7-2 in their recent non-league match against Bonnabel (Kenner, LA)

The Bulldogs now have a 4-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to French Settlement for a non-league match on Saturday, February 22. Springfield will battle a Lions squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to East Ascension (Gonzales, LA). The Lions record now stands at 3-4.
