The Luella Lions (Luella, GA) basketball edged the visiting Sandy Creek Patriots (Tyrone, GA), 58-57 in Friday's non-league bout.

The Lions now possess a 26-3 record. They play next when they travel to Fayette County for a non-league bout on Tuesday, February 25. Luella will play a Tigers team coming off a 57-37 non-league win over Gilmer (Ellijay, GA). The Tigers record now stands at 24-5.

With the loss, Sandy Creek falls to 22-8 on the campaign.
