West Virginia High School Basketball - Cabell Midland nudges Winfield
February 24, 2025: Winfield, WV 25213 The crowd at Monday's non-league challenge between the Cabell Midland Knights (Ona, WV) and the host Winfield Generals (Winfield, WV), observed Cabell Midland's basketball team edge Winfield by a score of 74-69.
The Knights (10-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Capital (Charleston, WV). The Cougars come into the Mountain State challenge with a 4-14 record. In their last challenge, Capital was tipped by St. Albans (St. Albans, WV), 65-51, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Generals encounter the Hoover Huskies (Clendenin, WV) in a Cardinal bout, on Thursday, February 27. Winfield will attempt to move on its 12-7 season record. The Huskies go into the bout with a 15-4 record after their 81-40 non-league win over Roane County (Spencer, WV).
