In Wednesday's non-league game, the visiting Perquimans Pirates baseball team scored a nice 11-0 win over the Hertford County Bears.

The Pirates (1-1) will now prepare for their game against Holmes (Edenton, NC). The Aces go into the non-league game with a 1-0 record. In their last game, Holmes knocked off North Pitt (Bethel, NC), 12-2, in a non-league game.

Next, the Bears play the Gates County Red Barons (Gatesville, NC) in a non-league game, on Friday, February 28. Hertford County will attempt to improve on its 0-2 season record. The Red Barons go into the game with a 0-1 record after their 6-1 non-league loss to Camden County (Camden, NC).
