The Pinecrest Patriots baseball squad (Southern Pines, NC), was overwhelmed 18-4 in Friday's non-league contest with the visiting Apex Friendship Patriots (Apex, NC)

With the triumph, Apex Friendship moves its record to 1-1 on the season. The Patriots host Holly Springs (Holly Springs, NC) to confront the Golden Hawks in a Southwest Wake 4A contest on Tuesday, March 4. The Golden Hawks come into the contest with a record of 2-1. Holly Springs won 4-3 in their recent non-league contest against D.H. Conley (Greenville, NC)

The Patriots now possess a 1-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Millbrook for a non-league contest on Tuesday, March 4. Pinecrest will confront a Wildcats squad coming off a 2-0 non-league win over Ragsdale (Jamestown, NC). The Wildcats record now stands at 3-0.
