The Converse Wildcats baseball team scored 17 runs and held the visiting Southwood Cowboys to 1 in the Wildcats non-league win on Friday.

The Wildcats now own a 4-6 record. They take the field next when they host North Webster for a non-league test on Monday, March 3. Converse will play a Knights team coming off a 13-2 non-league loss to Family Community Christian (Winnsboro, LA). The Knights record now stands at 3-4.

With the defeat, Southwood drops to 0-8 on the year. The Cowboys travel to Doyline (Doyline, LA) to play the Panthers in a non-league test on Tuesday, March 4. The Panthers go into the test with a record of 4-1.
