February 3, 2025: Salem, VA 24153 Auburn Eagles (Riner, VA) boosters left the game satisfied Monday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the host Glenvar Highlanders (Salem, VA), 58-42 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Auburn upgrades its record to 8-12 on the year. The Eagles host Eastern Montgomery (Elliston, VA) to face the Mustangs in a non-league match on Wednesday, February 5. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 4-14.
The Highlanders now sport a 0-17 record. They put it on the line next when they host Floyd County for a Three Rivers match on Wednesday, February 5. Glenvar will face a Buffaloes squad coming off a 55-32 league win over Carroll County (Hillsville, VA). The Buffaloes record now stands at 5-13.
