Texas High School Basketball - Bloomburg thwarts Sulphur Bluff
February 4, 2025: Bloomburg, TX 75556 The crowd at Tuesday's league challenge between the Bloomburg Wildcats (Bloomburg, TX) and the visiting Sulphur Bluff Bears (Sulphur Bluff, TX), observed Bloomburg's basketball team knock off Sulphur Bluff by a score of 49-34.
The Wildcats (5-18) will now prepare for their challenge against Union Hill (Gilmer, TX). The Bulldogs come into the 1A Region III District 20 challenge with a 10-13 record. In their last challenge, Union Hill was knocked off by Avery (Avery, TX), 50-31, in a league challenge.
In their next game, the Bears encounter the Avinger Indians (Avinger, TX) in a 1A Region III District 20 challenge, on Tuesday, February 11. Sulphur Bluff will attempt to improve on its 12-16 season record. The Indians come into the challenge with a 1-25 record after their 59-18 league loss to Avery (Avery, TX).
