The Cornerstone Charter Cardinals (Greensboro, NC) basketball were winner over the visiting Phoenix Academy Firebirds (High Point, NC), 71-63 in Tuesday's non-league bout.

The Cardinals now possess a 12-9 record. They play next when they host College Prep & Leadership Academy for a 1A Northwest Piedmont bout on Friday, February 7. Cornerstone Charter will play a Royals team coming off a 68-65 league loss to Winston-Salem Prep (Winston-Salem, NC). The Royals record now stands at 16-4.

With the loss, Phoenix Academy falls to 6-16 on the campaign. The Firebirds travel to Wesleyan Christian Academy (High Point, NC) to play the Trojans in a non-league bout on Thursday, February 6. The Trojans go into the bout with a record of 17-10. Wesleyan Christian Academy lost 64-48 in their recent league bout against Calvary Day School (Winston-Salem, NC)
