North Dakota High School Basketball - Maple River toppled by Hankinson
February 4, 2025: Hankinson, ND 58041 Hankinson Pirates (Hankinson, ND) boosters left the game satisfied Tuesday as they witnessed their basketball squad notch a victory over the visiting Maple River Eagles (Mapleton, MN), 58-49 in a non-league match.
With the victory, Hankinson upgrades its record to 13-1 on the year. The Pirates travel to Barnes County North co-op [North Central/Wimbledon-Courtenay] (Rogers, ND) to face the Bison in a B District 1 match on Friday, February 7. The Bison enter the match with a record of 7-3.
The Eagles now sport a 16-13 record. They put it on the line next when they host Minnesota Valley Lutheran for a AA Section 2 match on Tuesday, February 4. Maple River will meet a Chargers squad coming off a 73-64 non-league loss to Le Sueur-Henderson (Le Sueur, MN). The Chargers record now stands at 11-8.
