Georgia High School Basketball - Veterans thwarts Tift County

February 4, 2025: Kathleen, GA 31047

The crowd at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Veterans Warhawks (Kathleen, GA) and the visiting Tift County Blue Devils (Tifton, GA), observed Veterans's basketball team knock off Tift County by a score of 66-57.

The Warhawks (14-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Lee County (Leesburg, GA). The Trojans come into the AAAAA Region 2 challenge with a 18-5 record. In their last challenge, Lee County prevailed over Northside (Warner Robins, GA), 65-29, in a league challenge.

In their next game, the Blue Devils encounter the Camden County Wildcats (Kingsland, GA) in a AAAAAA Region 1 challenge, on Friday, February 7. Tift County will attempt to improve on its 16-7 season record. The Wildcats come into the challenge with a 8-15 record after their 47-41 league loss to Colquitt County (Norman Park, GA).
