The Columbus Discoverers basketball squad (Columbus, NE), was nudged 50-48 in Tuesday's league battle with the visiting Omaha North Vikings (Omaha, NE)

With the victory, Omaha North advances its record to 7-10 on the year. The Vikings travel to Buena Vista (Omaha, NE) to meet the Bison in a A District 3 battle on Friday, February 7. The Bison enter the battle with a record of 3-16. Buena Vista lost 52-25 in their recent non-league battle against Lincoln Northeast (Lincoln, NE)

The Discoverers now own a 8-9 record. They put it on the line next when they host Westview for a non-league bout on Friday, February 7. Columbus will play a Wolverines team coming off a 77-44 non-league win over Lincoln East (Lincoln, NE). The Wolverines record now stands at 16-2.
