The Cuthbertson Cavaliers basketball squad (Waxhaw, NC), was crushed 73-42 in Tuesday's league battle with the host Porter Ridge Pirates (Indian Trail, NC)

With the victory, Porter Ridge advances its record to 16-5 on the year. The Pirates travel to Weddington (Matthews, NC) to meet the Warriors in a 4A Southern Carolina battle on Tuesday, February 11. The Warriors enter the battle with a record of 13-7.

The Cavaliers now own a 4-11 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Weddington for a 4A Southern Carolina battle on Friday, February 7. Cuthbertson will meet a Warriors squad coming off a 52-37 non-league loss to Legion Collegiate Academy (Rock Hill, SC). The Warriors record now stands at 13-7.
