In Wednesday's league contest, the host Northeastern Eagles basketball team scored a good 56-45 triumph over the First Flight Nighthawks.

The Eagles (15-2) will now prepare for their contest against Manteo (Manteo, NC). The Redskins go into the 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal contest with a 5-10 record. In their last contest, Manteo was topped by Holmes (Edenton, NC), 72-61, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Nighthawks battle the Holmes Aces (Edenton, NC) in a 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal contest, on Friday, February 7. First Flight will attempt to better on its 13-8 season record.
