In Wednesday's league contest, the host La Plata Warriors basketball team scored a good 53-41 win over the Patuxent Panthers.

The Warriors (8-10) will now prepare for their contest against Westlake (Waldorf, MD). The Wolverines come into the Southern Maryland contest with a 4-13 record. In their last contest, Westlake defeated Great Mills (Great Mills, MD), 54-47, in a league contest.

In their next game, the Panthers battle the St. Charles (Waldorf, MD) in a Southern Maryland contest, on Friday, February 7. Patuxent will attempt to better on its 1-14 season record. The come into the contest with a 9-6 record after their 50-34 league win over Huntingtown (Huntingtown, MD).
