New Mexico High School Basketball - Capital can't hold off Eldorado
February 5, 2025: Albuquerque, NM 87111 Eldorado Golden Eagles (Albuquerque, NM) supporters left the game satisfied Wednesday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Capital Jaguars (Santa Fe, NM), 63-56 in a league match.
With the victory, Eldorado advances its record to 9-12 on the year. The Golden Eagles host Manzano (Albuquerque, NM) to face the Monarchs in a 5A District 2 match on Saturday, February 8. The Monarchs enter the match with a record of 10-10. Manzano lost 73-26 in their recent league match against La Cueva (Albuquerque, NM)
The Jaguars now own a 7-14 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Santa Fe for a 5A District 2 match on Saturday, February 8. Capital will face a Demons squad coming off a 73-15 league loss to Sandia (Albuquerque, NM). The Demons record now stands at 10-11.
