The First Flight Nighthawks (Kill Devil Hills, NC) basketball knocked off the visiting Hertford County Bears (Ahoskie, NC), 67-59 in Tuesday's league test.

The Nighthawks (12-9) will now prepare for their test against Holmes (Edenton, NC). The Aces go into the 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal test with a 9-10 record. In their last test, Holmes went down by Currituck County (Barco, NC), 64-47, in a league test.

The Bears now own a 13-7 record. They play next when they host Camden County for a 2A/3A Northeastern Coastal test on Friday, February 9. Hertford County will encounter a Bruins squad coming off a 61-45 league loss to Northeastern (Elizabeth City, NC). The Bruins record now stands at 9-12.
