February 6, 2024: Trenton, IL 62293 Fans at Tuesday's non-league challenge between the Wesclin Warriors (Trenton, IL) and the visiting Freeburg Midgets (Freeburg, IL), saw Wesclin's basketball squad hold off Freeburg by a tally of 83-78.
With the victory, Wesclin improves its record to 25-4 on the campaign. The Warriors host Okawville (Okawville, IL) to play the Rockets in a Cahokia - Illinois challenge on Friday, February 9. The Rockets come into the challenge with a record of 9-20. Okawville won 57-34 in their recent non-league challenge against New Athens (New Athens, IL)
Next up, the Midgets play the Breese Central Cougars (Breese, IL) in a Cahokia - Mississippi challenge, on Friday, February 9. Freeburg will attempt to improve on its 17-12 season record. The Cougars come into the challenge with a 26-2 record after their 48-41 league win over Columbia (Columbia, IL).
