The Liberty Red Devils basketball squad (Liberty, SC), was nudged 56-52 in Thursday's league battle with the host High Point Academy Grizzlies (Spartanburg, SC)

With the victory, High Point Academy advances its record to 15-4 on the year. The Grizzlies host Landrum (Landrum, SC) to meet the Cardinals in a battle on Monday, February 10. The Cardinals enter the battle with a record of 13-2.

The Red Devils now own a 2-8 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Belton-Honea Path for a non-league battle on Saturday, February 8. Liberty will meet a Bears squad coming off a 40-32 league loss to Pendleton (Pendleton, SC). The Bears record now stands at 8-10.
