In Tuesday's league outing, the Virginia Academy Patriots (Ashburn, VA) basketball squad overwhelmed the visiting Covenant Eagles (Charlottesville, VA), by a margin of 71-44.

The Patriots (18-6) will now prepare for their outing against Riverdale Baptist (Upper Marlboro, MD). The Crusaders go into the Freelance outing with a 17-9 record. In their last outing, Riverdale Baptist smashed Shining Star Sports Academy (Petersburg, VA), 54-45, in a non-league outing.

The Eagles now own a 11-10 record. They play next when they host Christchurch School for a non-league outing on Wednesday, February 8. Covenant will meet a Seahorses team coming off a 75-44 non-league loss to Saint Gertrude (Richmond, VA). The Seahorses record now stands at 9-5.
