The Asheville Cougars basketball squad (Asheville, NC), was crushed 86-63 in Friday's league battle with the visiting McDowell Titans (Marion, NC)

With the victory, McDowell advances its record to 19-2 on the year. The Titans travel to Erwin (Asheville, NC) to meet the Warriors in a 3A/4A Mountain battle on Tuesday, February 11. The Warriors enter the battle with a record of 10-12. Erwin lost 69-58 in their recent league battle against T.C. Roberson (Asheville, NC)

The Cougars now own a 4-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to North Buncombe for a 3A/4A Mountain battle on Tuesday, February 11. Asheville will meet a Black Hawks squad coming off a 89-78 league win over Enka (Enka, NC). The Black Hawks record now stands at 13-9.
