Concord Spiders (Concord, NC) supporters left the game satisfied Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the host Carson Cougars (China Grove, NC), 73-72 in a league match.

With the victory, Concord advances its record to 14-8 on the year. The Spiders travel to Northwest Cabarrus (Concord, NC) to face the Trojans in a 3A South Piedmont match on Tuesday, February 11. The Trojans enter the match with a record of 13-8. Northwest Cabarrus lost 68-66 in their recent league match against Robinson (Concord, NC)

The Cougars now own a 15-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host South Rowan for a 3A South Piedmont match on Tuesday, February 11. Carson will face a Raiders squad coming off a 66-47 league loss to East Rowan (Salisbury, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 1-20.
